Frame a Vintage Postcard As Art

For years our family vacationed at the Miramar Hotel in Santa Barbara. I have such fond memories of that season of life. The Miramar closed down a few years back and I wanted to somehow honor the special place it holds in our hearts. I searched ebay for vintage postcards and was able nab these beautiful black and white ones made from original photos of the hotel from the 1950's. I love the way they look in this frame, especially against the seagrass wallpaper. It was a simple and inexpensive project that has added a touch of personalization and nostalgia to our home. Think about using this concept in your own home. Which places have special meaning to your family? Could you capture the past with some simple postcards that might serve as artwork in a spot in your house?
